The teachers are good and the school's culture is welcoming and international. My daughter enjoyed her time in the school. For professionals, however, FIS has many features in their schedule that do harm. Between Nov. 14 and Feb. 28, the time my daughter went to FIS, the school had 6 half-days (ending at 11:50 am). These were regular work days when I was supposed to work for my Bavarian employer and were not days off. I had to skip work and literally bend over backwards to pick up my daughter. It was a huge inconvenience. Given that parents pay at least 1,134 EUR tuition per month (and even more if they are permanent), the fact that there are several half-days and completely cancelled "training" and "evaluation" days with absolutely no school, a parent like me felt short-changed and frustrated with a school that only cares about its own staff and not the needs of fee paying parents. FIS knows that it has a captive audience and consequently this overreach will not likely be corrected.
I spent a week time for my training. I love this school (good school management system, technology, teaching methods, multi culture, environment, innovative, library set up, art room, etc). I have impressed not only by teaching and learning of the teacher and students. but also they are actively doing social service activity like book collection to send rural community development. I wish them all the best and keep up they good work!
